Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) maker VinFast has surpassed the market valuations of Ford and General Motors (GM) on its first day of trading. Despite not yet making a profit, VinFast's shares closed above $37 each, giving the company a market valuation of $85 billion, higher than Ford's $48 bln.

Three Bulgarian nationals have been arrested and charged in the UK in connection with a major national security investigation. The suspects are accused of possessing fake identity documents and are alleged to have been working for the Russian security services.
